Explanation of slurry pump performance parameters

1.Head: The energy obtained by a unit weight of liquid after passing through the pump. Its value is equal to the algebraic difference between the total head at the pump outlet and the total head at the pump inlet.

2.Flow rate: The amount of liquid discharged by the pump per unit time.

3.Speed: The speed of the pump refers to the number of revolutions per minute of the pump shaft.

4.Slurry pump shaft power: The power required by the prime mover to drive the slurry pump.

5.Pump effective power: The product of the weight flow rate of the slurry pumped by the slurry pump and the head.

6.Efficiency: The ratio of effective power to shaft power.

7.NPSH: The surplus energy of a unit weight of liquid at the pump suction port that exceeds the vaporization pressure.
